I woke this morning
And turning in my bed
To cross your form
With arm out-flung
Flailed aimlessly
At a sudden vacuum
I felt an abyss acute
A void at your absence
I had drawn comfort
From the warmth of you
Snuggled close to me
In subliminal periphery
For nearly a score
A fortnight of days
We'd slept in unity
I'd grown accustomed to you
Nestled next to me
Naked in our intimacy
My desire would accord
Your presence revisited
In ardor... adjacent
Nevermore to depart
Nocturnal paramours
Roaming each other's haunt
Return my darling,
To Nights sublime
Your rightful place aside me
Shrouds of sleep to sunder
As we waken from our bliss
To greet with dreams the Dawn anew
