Lottery

I told you last night
That I'd have to write
To describe things that I've kept inside
The way that I felt
When we started to melt
Into kisses that left us tongue-tied

I came Friday to you
To learn... were they true?
The emotions I was beginning to feel
Then under the full moon
And not a moment too soon
My daydreams turned out to be real

As we sat on the couch
You were certainly no slouch
In tentative pursuit of your quarry
Soft lips lingered at first touch
Then passions mingled so much
Our compatibility was never a worry

Your tongue's gentle moist probe
Seemed accompanied by a strobe
Such fireworks were going off in my mind
I was stunned... in a daze
Though giddy, still amazed
Thoughts of being too forward left behind

In our "wrestling bout"
You removed any doubts
Of whether there'd be physical attraction
Then you stated "I've missed
The taste of a French kiss,
When your face is this close, I want action!"

I remember the glisten
Of your eyes as I listened
To the wild staccato beat of my heart
Teeth gleaming as you smiled
Held so close you beguiled
I felt like pleading "let me stay, not depart"

So... in the words that I've stated
You might sense I'm elated
I'm keeping my memory on "play and rewind"
I'm just thankful for Match
For I consider you quite a catch
Like a lottery... you're my good fortune to find
